Choose the right procedure
TA.2/S covers employee registrations, deregistrations and changes. The employer normally handles these communications. Obtaining a NUSS alone does not register a job. Domestic employment has its own TA.2/S-0138 route; self-employment uses a different procedure.
What to prepare
Prepare the worker’s identity and Social Security number, the employer’s contribution account code (CCC), the employment dates and the relevant contract details. Check any required work authorisation separately. The registration must reflect the actual employment relationship.
Spanish fields explained
Alta means registration, baja deregistration and variación de datos a change. Fecha de inicio or cese identifies the actual start or end. CCC identifies the employer’s contribution account; it is different from the worker’s NUSS. Follow the official instructions for the applicable fields.
How to submit
The employer or authorised representative normally communicates through Sistema RED or the applicable TGSS electronic service. Arrange the alta before work starts. For deregistration and changes, check the current deadline for the exact event. A downloaded PDF is not a completed electronic registration.
After submission
Keep the accepted communication and check the worker’s recorded alta or vida laboral. If the employer has not registered the job, contact TGSS about the worker’s own request route, including TA.2/T where appropriate. TA.4 is for correcting employment history, rather than replacing a current employer’s registration duty.
