Sources checked · 03.11.2026

Choose the right procedure

This form belongs to the special system for domestic employees. Since January 2023, the employer handles registration and contribution obligations even for a small number of hours. Each employer must arrange the registration for their own employment relationship.

What to prepare

Prepare both parties’ DNI/NIE, the employee’s NUSS, start date, agreed hours and pay, contract details and the payment account requested by Importass. Check work authorisation where required. Do not confuse monthly pay with an hourly rate or report hours that differ from the actual agreement.

Spanish fields explained

Empleador is the household employer; trabajador is the employee. Retribución means pay, jornada working time and fecha de inicio the actual start. The online service may collect these details directly, so a separate paper upload is not always needed.

How to submit

Start with Importass’s Alta en empleo de hogar service. Arrange registration before work begins; the service permits advance registration up to 60 days before the start. A late-registration option does not make a late filing timely. Use the separate service for a later change or deregistration.

After submission

Keep the accepted registration and check the recorded hours, salary and start date. Communicate later changes through Importass within the applicable deadline. Registration does not replace the employment contract or the separate immigration conditions for the worker.
